Two years later, how have you been?
I'm doing fine thanks, and very well in particular because I have a ticket to Europe. Again!
I graduated from UW back in June, got a job, got another job, worked and slept for the better part of the summer. This trip has been in the works for a good long while and piece by piece is coming together.
Here is the tentative schedule, subject to changes (all except the flights, non-refundable or movable, yikes)
April 16th:Hug and kiss my friends and family goodbye. Get a ride to SeaTac and get on my Iceland Air flight to Copenhagen.
April 17th: Arrive in Copenhagen, Denmark. There I will meet up with my friends April and Rowan who will have been in Europe for awhile already.

April 18th: Celebrate April's birthday in Denmark with Sofie, a previous exchange student hosted by April and Rowan's family when we were all in high school. Sofie was with them for a year and became an honorary family member like myself immediately.
April 22nd: The three of us fly to Amsterdam together, wander in a beautiful city and also attend King's Day.

April 30th: April flies home after three weeks in Europe. Rowan and I might travel on together for a little while before parting ways.
April 30th to May 23rd or so: I take off by myself across continental Europe. The travel plan now is tentative, ambitious and most likely not realistic. My appetite for travel is bigger than my wallet and with an unlimited 21 day Eurail pass I want to get to as much as I can while also balancing time in places I'd like to stay. I'm going to try out couchsurfing and hosteling on my own for the first time in order to save money and hopefully meet some new friends. This will be the longest I've ever traveled on my own, I'm a little nervous but excited to meet the challenges solo travel provides.
May 24th or so to June 15th: I'll head back west hopefully getting reasonably close to London before the 24th to meet my Mama when she arrives at Heathrow. Mom has never been to Europe and I've never been to London and we will navigate the metropolis for a few days. Hopefully meeting up with long lost family; my aunt, cousin, her husband and her children who I've never met before but seem like lovely people.
Then Mom and I will be off to discover Britain, heading clockwise around the island. Visiting friends in Wales and heading north to lovely Scotland again. I'm hoping by June the weather may be slightly less downpoury than it was last time, but we'll see. It'll be fun either way.

June 15th, Fly home. We'll do a big circle, ending again in London, then fly and arrive sound into the waiting arms of friends and family.
